QUOTATION: People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote - a very different thing. - Walter H. Judd

He Misspoke Again!

I've got just five minutes before my next student arrives, but am so excited to read about this that I couldn't wait to tell you:

An expensive mistake by VP Dick Cheney occurred when he referred listeners to factcheck.com to verify his misstatements in last night's debate. What he MEANT to do was send them to factcheck.org. Bless factcheck.com, who transferred all surfers to George Soros, a philanthropist, who used to be a Republican, but is now supporting John Kerry. The site has been inundated with hits hopefully, a few of them have read his speech and become convinced that we are actually less safe with Bush-Cheney in powerand certainly not better off than we were four years ago. Give it a read!

I'll be back later. I've got lots to tell you.
